The Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-IN) on January 24 issued a severity rating of ‘High’ over multiple vulnerabilities discovered in the Google Chrome OS.
The affected software is the Google Chrome OS version prior to 16093.68.0, or browser version: 132.0.6834.94.
Those who could be affected by the vulnerabilities include all end-user organisations and individuals using ChromeOS.
“Multiple vulnerabilities have been reported in ChromeOS which could allow a remote attacker to trigger spoofing, perform cross- site scripting, conduct remote code execution, bypass security controls and gain access to sensitive information on the targeted system,” said CERT-IN on its website.
Users should check that their OS and browser are updated to the newest official version, in order to ensure their system has the latest protections and safeguards.
